Words to start the week

Sunday, October 9, 2016

Good morning, beautiful friends. I don't know about you all, but as soon as the season changes, I always feel like it is a new beginning. It's time to start fresh on whatever it may be. Sometimes though, our new beginnings get off to a rough start. THAT IS OKAY! The beginning of this past week was a little rough for me. We all have those days where we feel super emotional and feel that nothing is going right. Monday was that day for me. I was stuck in a rut, I didn't know what to do, and I didn't know how to get out of the negative mind set I was in. But what I thought was going to be the worst week ever, ended up being the best week. Whenever it seems like nothing is going right, I find that there is always something that shines through and makes all the difference. That is why I want to share a casual post about the importance of patience, happiness, and positivity.

You have to make mistakes in order to grow.

This can be hard to understand. I feel like sometimes we put ourselves in an outline or agenda, thinking we have to do x,y, and z in order to be happy with ourselves. Often, however, we get put in unexpected situations. No one ever teaches us how to prepare for those moments. These situations don't fit in our outline and it throws us for a loop. We shouldn't let these experiences get the best of us. We are better than that. We shouldn't dwell in our mistakes. We should let our mistakes fuel us to do better. It is okay to make mistakes. If you didn't, how would you grow? How would you become you? Our experiences and mistakes shape us as human beings and make us who we are.

Attitude is Everything.

Being positive is easier said than done. Sometimes you feel like you are so far down, it seems impossible to get back up. I know. But I can assure you that there is good in everything, big or small. We just have to have patience. I hate not knowing what is to come. The truth is, sometimes good things take the longest to see. So in the meantime, we just have to remain positive that a better things are on their way.

Do more of what makes you happy.

This is super cliche, but it is the truth. Find happiness in the small things. They will add up to something greater.  When you are surrounded by happiness even on a small scale, your focus shifts away from the bad things that are bringing you down.

Thank you all for always stopping by my blog to read my posts. Y'all are the absolute best. Have an amazing week, enjoy the weather, and love life one day at a time.
xx, Anne
