DIY: Coffee Lip scrub

Sunday, September 4, 2016

Hello friends! It is crazy to think that it is already September! It feels like yesterday it was the beginning of August. Before we know it, the season will be changing. That means new wardrobes (yay!) but also allergies and dry skin (eek!)! Today, I thought it would be a good idea to get a bit ahead of the changing seasons and share a way to prepare for dealing with the cooler weather and its affect on our skin. I'm sharing a recipe for an amazingly moisturizing DIY coffee lip scrub. Let's go ahead and get started to cure those dry lips!

What You Will Need:

2 teaspoons of coconut oil
2 teaspoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of ground coffee
1 small container
(I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby for less than $2!)

Step No. 1: Add coconut oil in small bowl.

Step No. 2: Add sugar into the same small bowl.

Step No. 3: Stir ingredients until creamy consistency.

Step No. 4: Add coffee grounds to mixture and stir it into the mixture.

Step No. 5: Pour it into your container.

For the best results, apply a small amount to your lips and let it sit for around 2 minutes. Then take it off with a warm cloth.

That's it! Only five easy steps! This would make the cutest little gift for a friend or yourself. I hope you all enjoyed this DIY. Let me know if you would like to see more DIYs in the future. Be sure to check out my last DIY post here.

Have a fabulous week full of happiness and moisturized lips!
xx, Anne
