Good morning, friends!! One of the many reasons I love summer is the fact that I have more time to be creative with my wardrobe. Finding new ways to wear ordinary pieces is the best. I could spend hours in my closet just thinking of all the different ways to wear one thing! Today's look features two pieces that are an unexpected but lovely combination.

In this look, I am actually wearing two dresses. Yup! You heard it right. Two dresses. I put on this beautiful patterned maxi-dress first and to be honest, I wasn't feeling it. I needed something that would take the dress to a whole new level. I did some experimenting and ended up taking a long button up dress and wearing it open as a jacket. I absolutely love how effortless this look is. It is definitely a unique combination! The color palette that this outfit features is is one of my favorites. The deep olive dress compliments the muted tones in the patterned dress so nicely. For accessories, I decided to wear a cross body bag. This adds to the elongated look. Since this look is long and flowy, I knew I wanted to add some horizontal interest in the shoes. I went for a simple two-strapped sandal in a nude suede.
