October and November always seem to be the busiest months of my year. My schedule is finally in full swing and it's just go-go-go all of the time! Being crazy busy makes for late nights and early mornings without a lot of sleep in-between. Sometimes when I wake up, putting on a stiff blouse, stiff jeans, and a pair of uncomfortable shoes just does not seem the most appealing. But dressing down doesn't mean you have to wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt! (I often find that wearing this type of clothing makes my day lack a feeling of productivity.) There are totally ways you can dress casually and still look stylish and feel confident. Today I will be sharing four outfits & tips for keeping it comfy without sacrificing style.
Outfit No. 1: Neutrals are your best friend.
I find that wearing neutrals and muted tones automatically makes your outfit ten times more stylish. Neutral hues, especially black, give you a simple, chic, and put together look. In this look I paired my favorite black leggings with a black tulip-hem top. I finished it off with my favorite black sneakers and then added this adorable mini backpack for some interest and a little color. This cute bag definitely contributed to the sporty-chic look. I kept it simple with jewelry and wore my go-to gold watch.

Outfit No. 2: Throw on a denim jacket.
Jean jackets seems so basic, but they can really transform a look. Underneath the jacket I went with a simple grey tee, leggings, and sneakers (clothing items almost everyone has in their closet!). I added a baseball hat and beige bag to add some extra interest. Even though this outfit is composed of comfy basics, it still looks super fashion forward.

Outfit No. 3: If you like it then you should've put a vest on it.
Typically I'd say that you can only wear your favorite fall vests with flannels and riding boots. That is one of my favorite looks, but I found that this vest also looks adorable overtop a comfy graphic tee. Neutral tones keep this outfit looking simple and chic. This look has become one of my go-tos for both weekdays and weekends. I went for a relaxed pair of jeans, but this outfit could also be paired with leggings for an even comfier feel.

Outfit No. 4: T-shirts & Tied shirts
Who says a typical t-shirt can't be cute!? For this last outfit, I tied a chambray shirt around my waist to dress up an ordinary t-shirt I bought at the Guggenheim museum in NYC. Adding the chambray shirt creates a bit more structured silhouette. I finished off this look with some textured leggings, sneakers, and my favorite bag. This outfit looks totally city-chic, but it is super easy to throw together and will keep you comfy all day long.
