My Top 5 Favorite Online Stores + Tips

Sunday, January 21, 2018

Hello, friends! As always, happy Sunday!! For those of y'all that don't know me personally, I'm here to admit that I am a sucker for online shopping. Shocker, right! Some might even say I'm slightly addicted... But I'm the kind of online shopper that doesn't buy 80% of the things she puts in her cart because I'm indecisive, and let's be real, just looking is half the fun! Today I'm here to share 3 smaller online stores & 2 that you might have forgotten about (all of which I absolutely adore) as well as some tips for shopping online.

I'm a huge fan of sites like anthro, free people, urban outfitters, and madewell. Those are actually probably my main go-to's. I mostly shop their sale sections... I'm all about getting great deals! The sites I wanted to highlight in this post though, are a little less common.

1. Ivy City Co

Ivy City is one of my favs. Their pieces are so happy and unique. A lot of their clothes seem to take a fun twist on trends which is super fun. I've bought both shoes and clothing from this site and have nothing but good things to say about my purchases.

99.9% sure I wore these everyday in the summer and into the fall.

2. Roolee

Goodness gracious! Roolee is absolutely amazing. Some of my fav pieces in my closet were purchased here. I would describe Roolee as Madewell with a bit more pizazz. They seriously sell some of the cutest items. I can have a hard time finding dresses because they tend to be too short in my size, but most of the dresses Roolee sells are midi dresses which means I can get the dress in my size without having to worry about length!

This dress is one of my favs!! Perfect for transition into summer & fall.

3. The Stockplace

You know this boutique has the cutest clothes when your cart is literally always full. Their items are always fun & timeless-- what more can you ask for?! One of the many reasons why I love this store is because their photography is on point. HAA, maybe I'm just a sucker for some good scenery, I don't know. I have not actually purchased any of the clothing here (bc you know, I must have SOME self-control), but I did order a pair of shoes that I adore! I have worn them so much.

These shoes were my go-to in the fall! Love this unique style!

4. ASOS

I'm sure a lot of y'all have heard of ASOS, but it seriously has so many cute clothes and a lot of my fav brands too! It's a one stop shop! All of my ASOS purchases have been top-notch.

ASOS is one of my fav places to try out trends like these over the knee boots. If I remember right, these were around $60 which is super reasonable given the high quality.

5. Zara

I'm sure some of y'all have heard of Zara as well. I would describe it as a sleeker, more mature version of Forever 21. I have found some super cool pieces from here that have become wardrobe staples.
This dress is def one of my favorite purchases from Zara. It was $20 and the quality is amazing!

Online Shopping Tips

1. Always read reviews. I love reviews because they give you the honest deats--- comments on the quality, sizing, coloring, etc.
2. If you're thinking about buying a more expensive item like a pair of shoes, check sites like Nordstrom Rack and 6pm to make sure they're not on sale from one of these retailers.
3. Think before you buy! Take a look in your closet to make sure you don't have something similar or think about ways you could style the item to make sure it is practical enough for you.
4. When making expensive purchases, buy from a site that has free returns.  (Shout out to Nordstrom for being the Queen of Free Returns!)  When it comes to nicer clothing/shoes, I like to see the items in person to try them on with a couple different outfits. That way if it's not what I thought it was, I won't feel pressure to keep it because the return is free.
5. Always shop the sale section on sites like anthro, free people, and madewell. You can always find a lot of great deals!!

I hope y'all found today's post helpful. Online shopping can be so much fun. I love finding new sites to shop at, so if you have any favs, let me know!
Have an amazing week!!
xx, Anne
