Homecoming: What I Wore + more

Sunday, September 25, 2016

Happy Sunday, friends! This past week was Homecoming Week at my school. All of the Homecoming festivities are always so fun. I love getting to see everyone’s school pride on full display. It’s a week packed full of events. You’ve got dress days, the parade, the football game… and finally the biggest event… the dance! Even though the week is busy, it is a blast and definitely one of the best of the year! Today I thought the best way to celebrate the close of Homecoming would be to share details of my look from the dance!

Make-up

As for makeup I like to keep it simple. These are the products I used:

2. NYX Matte Bronzer (in light) find it here.
3. L'OREAL LUMI powder glow illuminator blush & highlight (in rose) find it here.
4. Elf tone adjusting face primer (in brightening lavender) find it here.
5. Maybelline Instant age rewind concealer (in light) find it here.
6. Revlon color stay concealer (in light medium) find it here.
7. NYX soft matte lip cream (in shade athens) find it here.
8. Bobbi Brown Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara (in black) find it here.
9. Tory Burch Eye Shadow Palette: PAS DU TOUT (used shades gamine, and menagerie) find it here.

What's in my clutch?

I didn't want to bring too many things with me... only the necessities. My Talaria flats were essential.  Shortly after hitting the dance floor, my heels became rather uncomfortable. Thanks to these beauties, the dancing didn’t have to stop!  I'm so happy I brought these along with me. How cool is it that they are foldable and fit inside my clutch? This made it so easy to switch out my heels for flats.  Thank you, Talaria Flats! Such a lifesaver! Buy your very own pair here.

What I Wore.

This year I decided to wear a skirt instead of dress. It would give me a chance to be creative and really make the pieces my own. I ordered this skirt on a whim on final sale from Anthroplogie and then paired it with this gorgeous champagne top. It had just enough shine to give the look some more pizazz. For shoes I went with these gorgeous, plum, suede heels. They really highlighted the beautiful hues in my skirt. For the finishing touch, I carried this beautiful embellished clutch. The navy velvet added a new texture and shade to the mix. It definitely brought the entire look together.

Find what I wore:
Skirt: Anthropologie (no longer available)
Shoes: Sam Edelman (different color)
Clutch: T Jmaxx (no longer availble)
Bracelet cuff: Francesca's  (no longer available)

I’m headed into this next week with a happy heart as I reflect on all the fun of Homecoming 2016.
Hoping your weeks begin happily as well.
Here’s to more fun times to come!

xx, Anne
